Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 2020 – EcoDriving USA

Lifted trucks and SUVs are all the rage at the moment.

They’re considerably higher than a conventional vehicle, though, and when it’s time for a quick repair or tire change, you need a jack lift that has a high enough lift range. Even more so, they’re also more substantial than cars – and your jack needs to be capable of holding the extra weight safely.

But what’s the best floor jack for lifted trucks

To help you make this important choice, I researched and compared the market’s leading options – and narrowed it down to the following jacks for your lifted truck.

The 10 Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks in 2020

1. Powerbuilt 620422E Heavy Duty 4000 lb Triple Lift Jack

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/2VtJT1U" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

The search for a reliable, heavy-duty jack can be a challenge – and you want to be confident that you’re getting the right tool for the job. That’s where the Powerbuilt 620422E comes in as a remarkable, versatile tool for both workshop owners and savvy DIY enthusiasts.

The patented design incorporates both padded lift rails and a removable lift saddle, which is what makes this one such a versatile tool – a multi-purpose jack that will work with an array of speciality vehicles, from motorcycles and cars to trucks and ATVs.

The 4000-pound capacity adds to that versatility even further.

The rugged build is another outstanding aspect of the 620422E heavy-duty jack that makes it a worthwhile investment, as it was specifically designed to perform under the most challenging conditions.

Also, it comes with essential safety features, including a broad base for added stability, as well as tie-down points. Even more so, it has a locking bar designed to hold the jack in place once your vehicle is in the air.

It does weigh a hefty 85 pounds, which isn’t ideal portability-wise – but it does come with a handy set of wheels, so I don’t think that the weight should be a deal-breaker.

Pros:

  • Patented, multi-purpose design with padded lift rails and removable saddle
  • Has a weight capacity of 4000 pounds
  • Features a broad base and tie-down points
  • Locking safety bar will keep the jack in place when the vehicle is lifted
  • Has wheels for portability

Cons:

  • The jack weighs 85 pounds
  • It’s very pricey
The Powerbuilt 620422E with 4000-pound lifting capacity, flexible design, and locking safety bar has to be the best floor jack for trucks – and the most versatile one, as well!

2. Hi-Lift Jack HL484 48" Hi-Lift Cast and Steel Jack

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 1

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/3cbLK1l" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

Hi-Lift’s HL484 is a highly versatile and rugged mechanical jack with the ability to complete a wide range of heavy-duty tasks with ease – and I think of it as one of the most versatile tools you could buy.

Hi-Lift’s been producing nothing but highest quality products for over a century; you know that you’re in for a treat – and an affordable one at that.

Everything about this high lift floor jack is exceptional, starting from the construction that combines cast and four high-strength stamped steel components for maximal durability. And while I’ve certainly tested a few lighter models, at 28 pounds, the HL484 is anything but heavy or bulky.

A highlift jack is one of those tools that you’ll put in your trunk and forget all about it until it’s time to put it to work.

Furthermore, despite the relatively light construction, it has a rated load capacity of 4600 pounds – the tested load capacity is 7000 pounds – which is more than enough for most applications. Also, I like the two-piece handle design, because it reduces the risk of it bending under pressure, which is a common problem in mechanical jacks with one-piece handles.

I did notice that the paint chips reasonably quickly, which could lead to rust further down the line. Other than that, though, I have no other complaints.

Pros:

  • Rated for a 4600-pound load capacity
  • Rugged and durable cast and steel construction
  • It’s a relatively lightweight
  • Two-piece handle withstands pressure without bending
  • Equipped with a shear bolt as an overload protection

Cons:

  • Paint chips off the jack easily
If you want a mechanical jack for heavy-duty situations, go with Hi-Lift HL484. It might be different from what you’re used to, but it’s worth it in the long run!

3. Torin Big Red Hydraulic Bottle Jack, 12 Ton (24,000 lb) Capacity

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 2

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/382L7nw" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

The brand’s made its name by producing high-quality, durable bottle jacks available in various sizes. So, if anything, you can rest assured that you’ll find one that’s perfect for the job if you decide to give Torin a chance!

The Big Red hydraulic bottle jack is a useful option worth considering as it comes with a rather impressive lifting capacity of 12 tons or approximately 24000 pounds. It can lift your vehicle to 18.25 inches off the ground, which is more than enough for a quick tire change or minor repairs.

The jack has a sturdy alloyed steel frame, durable enough for both commercial and residential use, and an inner and outer welded structure that’s sure to deliver a leak-free performance. At the same time, though, it maintains a surprisingly lightweight construction, weighing as little as 5.1 pounds.

The glide-action pressure lifts vehicles with minimal effort, while the built-in oil bypass and overload valve work as safety features that protect the hydraulic system from accidental overloads. Even more so, it meets ASME PASE safety standards for an added peace of mind.

It’s not without its issues, though. I’ve found that it doesn’t quite fit under lower-than-usual vehicles, and I've had several instances where it leaked hydraulic oil.

Pros:

  • Sturdy and reliable alloyed steel welded construction
  • Built-in safety overload system
  • Outstanding 24000-pound lifting capacity at an 18.25-inch height
  • Glide action pressure pumps lift the vehicle with minimal effort
  • Generous lifting area and secure grip
  • Surprisingly lightweight
  • Budget-friendly option

Cons:

  • Possible hydraulic oil leaks
  • Doesn’t fit under low-profile vehicles
This jack has the most impressive lifting capacity of all the units I’ve tested so far. Whether you want the best floor jack for Jeep Wrangler or heavy-duty trucks, this is a model that would never fail you!

4. Torin Big Red Steel Scissor Jack, 1.5 Ton (3,000 lb) Capacity

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 3

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/2TiF2xQ" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

The Torin Big Red Steel Scissor Jack could be the replacement jack that you’re searching for – a compact unit that proves that the good things can sometimes come in small packages.

I was instantly impressed by how small, and compact the jack is, without feeling flimsy or unreliable. The jack’s construction boasts drop forged alloyed steel that ensures quality and durability, but at the same time, it weighs no more than 7.7 pounds – and can lift 3000 pounds to a height of a little over 15 inches.

So, whether you’re changing tires or need a replacement jack that would sit in your car’s trunk for emergency repairs, this is the way to go. Not only is it the most compact one out of the bunch thanks to its collapsible design but is one of the most affordable options on my list, too.

And while a lot of scissor jacks struggle with maintaining stability, this isn’t the case for this Torin model. The jack comes fitted with an extra-wide base that adds stability and strength, while the one-piece handle delivers quick and responsive lifting. Even more so, it meets ANSI/ASME PASE safety standards.

While it can support most vehicles, it’s not exactly suited for heavy-duty trucks and SUVs because of its relatively limited load capacity, though.

Pros:

  • Rugged, drop forged alloyed steel construction
  • Collapsible, compact and portable design that weighs 7.7 pounds
  • Oversized base improves the jack’s stability
  • The one-piece handle ensures quick and easy operation

Cons:

  • Load capacity limited to 3000 pounds
The Torin Big Red jack is an affordable, storable, and powerful option – and one that fits both the durability requirements and the budget needs of most drivers – which makes it my top pick for a portable jack for lifted trucks

5. Powerbuilt 620471 6000lb Unijack 6000Lb Unijack

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 4

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/32pc6bU" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

The design of the Powerbuilt 620471 Unijack is a rather exciting concept – it combines the features of a bottle jack and jack stands for lifted trucks, all in one. That means that you can raise your vehicle, and then hold it up safely, all while using the same tool.

So, if convenience is an essential factor for you, this Powerbuilt tool could be a solid choice.

The main advantage of this floor jack is its user-friendly design, starting with the fact that it arrives pre-built, and doesn’t require much assembly. Even more so, it comes with a saddle and a safety pin, a feature that’s more often seen in jack stands.

That brings me to the best part of the Unijack’s functionality – the ability to serve both as a bottle jack and a stand. It can lift to 6000 pounds of load at a maximum height of 21 inches, and keep it there thanks to the safety pin and a broad, flat base that adds stability.

I do have to say that the handle is ridiculously short, though. I’m not sure if this is a deal-breaking feature or not, but it does require you to get in there – under the vehicle, that is. You might benefit from a floor jack extension for lifted trucks

Pros:

  • Serves as a bottle jack and a jack stand
  • Lifts and holds up to three tons
  • Safety bar locks the jack at the desired height
  • Maximum lift range is 21 inches
  • The broad, flat base ensures stability
  • Lightweight design

Cons:

  • The handle is too short for safe use
  • Might require floor jack extension for lifted trucks
If you’re generally a fan of Powerbuilt jacks, but need a slightly higher lifting capacity to meet your needs, this model can be the perfect solution for your truck.

6. Arcan 2 Ton Low Profile Quick Rise Steel Floor Jack XL20

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 5

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/2v7U7dX" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast or a seasoned mechanic, a compact, sleek, and versatile floor jack can be a welcome addition to your tool collection – especially when it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. That’s where the Arcan XL20 comes in:

It’s a compact, low-profile floor jack that packs all the features and functionality of a full-sized model in a space-saving, budget-friendly design.

It offers exceptional versatility with a low-profile frame that allows access to low-ground-clearance vehicles. Plus, it has a two-ton capacity and a dual pump piston that can lift any car fast, with no more than a few pumps, at the height of up to 18.5 inches.

The universal joint release mechanism gives you control and precision over the jack’s operation, too. On that note, it packs vital safety features, including overload and bypass valves to prevent accidental over-extension or stop you from going beyond its two-ton capacity.

Besides the actual compact design, it also boasts a handy, two-piece handle, which means that it won’t take up much storage space – a plus for small garages and limited workspace areas.

It’s relatively heavy, though, and it does have a slightly lower lifting capacity compared to some other models on my list, which could be considered a deal-breaker for those who with heavy vehicles.

Pros:

  • Low-profile design for low-ground-clearance vehicles
  • Two-ton capacity with an 18.5-inch lift range
  • Dual pump pistons for quick and effortless lifting
  • The universal release mechanism for controlled operation
  • Foam handle bumper and rubber saddle for vehicle protection
  • Two-piece handle for convenient storage

Cons:

  • It’s quite heavy
  • Not suitable for vehicles that weigh over two tons
If you don’t need an insanely high lifting capacity, this two-ton, low-profile jack can be a versatile, easy-to-use choice for your low-ground-clearance vehicle!

7. Pittsburgh Automotive 3-Ton Heavy-Duty Ultra Low Profile Steel Floor Jack

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 6

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/2T050rl" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

When you need to lift a lower-than-usual vehicle, a regular floor jack won’t cut it. You’ll need a low-profile jack to get the job done, and the Pittsburgh Automotive is one solid choice to consider here.

It’s very much designed in the same manner as a typical steel-chassis trolley jack, with the difference being the lifting arm itself:

It’s positioned lower than a standard lifting arm, which makes the jack easy to slide under lower-set vehicles.

The super robust design is another remarkable feature of this low-profile floor jack, with a precision-welded construction and an industrial-grade finish. In short, it’s heavy-duty – and it can lift loads of up to three tons quite easily, thanks to the integrated rapid-pump, dual parallel pump technology.

Furthermore, the maximum lifting range is shy of 20 inches, which should be enough for most jobs.

I’m also a fan of the universal joint-release mechanism, which enhances the precision and gives you better loading control, regardless of the handle’s position and height. Lowering your load can be done in a precise and slow manner, too.

Plus, it has sturdy, wider-than-usual casters for added stability.

I found it to be heavy at 79 pounds, but I’m willing to let it slide because it does feature a steel housing – and I’m okay with a slightly heavier jack if it promises sturdiness and durability.

Pros:

  • Suitable for low-profile vehicles
  • Industrial-quality, super-tough, precision-welded construction
  • Lifting capacity of three tons
  • Fast-raising jack due to dual-piston technology
  • Two-piece handle design for convenient storage

Cons:

  • It’s relatively heavy
The low-profile jack by Pittsburgh is pretty much the perfect combo of quality construction, reliable performance, and affordability. There’s not a single reason to not give this one a try!

8. Arcan ALJ3T 3-Ton Quick Rise Aluminum Floor Jack

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 7

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/32whNEP" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

Impressive strength, remarkable reliability, and exceptional construction – those are the words that I would use to describe the Arcan ALJ3T floor jack. But I’m going to lie – the Arcan ALJ3T does cost quite a bit of money.

If you’re okay with paying a premium price, though, know that it will be money well spent. This floor jack, although relatively lightweight at 56 pounds, still boasts an exceptional lifting capacity of approximately three tons.

The secret here is in the aircraft-grade aluminum construction, which keeps it lightweight enough to ensure mobility, yet ensures solid, reliable performance even under heavy loads.

The dual pump pistons work to raise the floor jack’s saddle to the load, while the reinforced lift arm ensures increased strength. At the same time, it incorporates two safety mechanisms in its design – the bypass and overload valves will minimize the risk of overextension or overloading the jack beyond its capacity.

Even more so, I was glad to discover that it not only includes safety features but protects your vehicle, as well. The foam handle bumper and rubber saddle are there to prevent any accidental scratches and damage to your car, which is a huge plus.

Seriously, the only thing that might bother you is the price tag.

Pros:

  • Lightweight, 56-pound aluminum construction
  • Rear casters and wide-track front wheels for mobility
  • Safety bypass and overload valves prevent overextension and overloading
  • Foam handle bumper and rubber saddle protect your car
  • Dual pump pistons with a fast-lifting capacity of three tons

Cons:

  • It’s somewhat expensive
The aluminum construction and wheels of the three-ton ALJ3T show that the best floor jack for trucks doesn’t need to be overly burdensome to get the job done!

9. Blackhawk B6350 Fast Lift Service Jack – 3.5 Ton Capacity

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 8

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/3a6izeu" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

The Blackhawk B6350 lift service jack is an outstanding option for quick and easy lifting – and, might I add, it’s a real beast of a jack, too:

The heavy-duty steel construction gives it a sturdy and robust feel and is suitable for off-road tire changes and other necessary repairs. I’d even say that it’s rugged enough to withstand regular workshop use on most modern SUVs and trucks.

The feature that I was most excited about, though, was that this monstrous 7000-pound capacity floor jack comes loaded with safety features that make it surprisingly user-friendly – especially for those who don’t have much experience with this type of tool.

It comes with a built-in bypass that prevents over-pumping and a safety valve that eliminates the risk of overloading the jack by accident. All I’m saying is that it’s nice to feel safe when you’re underneath the car.

The fact that it weighs 85 pounds is probably enough to give you a pretty good idea of how heavy-duty the fast-lift service jack is. The jack’s trolley design includes both front and rear casters for an added element of mobility, though.

It’s not ideal, and it’s still insanely heavy – but it’s doable. Also, I would’ve preferred a handle that stands straight up for more convenient storage, but these are minor inconveniences.

Pros:

  • Heavy-duty steel construction
  • Front and back castors added for mobility
  • Lifting range from 5.5 to 22 inches
  • Built-in protection against accidental over-pumping and overloading
  • Fast-lift technology reduces user fatigue
  • 7000-pound lifting capacity

Cons:

  • Very heavy
  • The handle doesn’t stand vertically for storage
I called this one a beast – and I stand by it! It’s super heavy, bulky, and has a load capacity of 7000 pounds; and I’m yet to find a vehicle that it cannot lift!

10. ABN 3 Ton Electric Hydraulic Jack – Automatic Emergency Lift

Best Floor Jack for Lifted Trucks 9

[su_button url="https://ift.tt/37YbtHl" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="soft" background="#d60f17" color="#070000" size="7" center="yes" icon="icon: cart-plus" icon_color="#ffffff" text_shadow="0px 0px 0px #000000"]CHECK PRICE HERE[/su_button]

ABN’s relatively new in the aftermarket auto accessory industry, but they’re dedicated to delivering an above-average experience at affordable prices. One example of this brand’s offerings is the ABN three-ton electric hydraulic jack that can be a handy tool for emergency roadside repairs.

It’s used to lift most types of cars, SUVs, trucks, and vans – and with a maximum lift capacity of three tons, or 6000 pounds and a 17.5-inch lift range, this should be done with ease, too. At the same time, it’s surprisingly lightweight and portable, since it weighs no more than 7.9 pounds.

The thing is, this is an electric hydraulic jack, which means that it gets the job done with minimal intervention on your part. It plugs into a 12-Volt power outlet, comes with an 11.5-foot power cord for ultimate flexibility, and has two easy-to-use switches – one for the vertical lift, and one for the LED light.

On that note, I was glad to see that it incorporates an LED light in its design, which can be extremely helpful for emergency repairs out on the road, where the conditions might not be ideal.

One thing that bothered me is that it’s relatively noisy compared to other models I’ve tested.

Pros:

  • Electric hydraulic lift with a three-ton capacity
  • Includes an LED light
  • The self-locking power structure and safety valve serve as fail-proof features
  • Extremely lightweight at only 7.9 pounds
  • Connects to a 12-Volt power outlet with an 11.5-foot cord
  • Very easy to operate and user-friendly

Cons:

  • Needs an extension cord for the rear area of a pickup truck
  • Can be noisy
The ABN Electric Hydraulic Jack is a perfect fit for emergency road repairs with its three-ton capacity, a versatile 12-Volt power cord, user-friendly operation, and a handy built-in LED light.

Frequently Asked Questions of Customer when looking for a best floor jack for lifted truck

1. How to jack up the front of a lifted truck?

Whether you’re lifting the front or rear end of your lifted truck, specific rules always apply – finding the right spot, chocking the wheels, and identifying a secure jacking point.

For a more specific scenario, like lifting the front of a lifted truck, you should choose a jacking point that’s halfway between the wheels or just behind the appropriate wheel. Some vehicles have dedicated jacking points, but if not, position the jack under the sub-frame, precisely between the front wheels.

2. What kind of jack do you use for a lifted truck?

Choosing the right kind of jack for a lifted truck is vital – but it doesn’t have to be complicated. A lifted truck will, on average, be at least three inches taller than a standard pickup, and quite massive, too. So, in essence, you need to check the structural integrity, maximum load capacity, and the lift range of the jack to ensure that it can “handle” your vehicle – and that’s pretty much it.

3. How high will a floor jack lift?

The maximum lifting range of the floor jack is quite an essential factor, especially when you’re lifting an off-road vehicle or an SUV. The thing is, SUVs are generally taller than your standard economy car, which automatically means that you’ll need a floor jack with a high enough lift range to get your vehicle up in the air.

A maximum height range of 16 to 20 inches should be high enough to lift your car – and most models on my list have that same range – but perform one final check before your purchase.

4. Will a 3-ton jack lift a truck?

A three-ton jack should be more than enough to lift almost any passenger car or truck, because, even in the worst-case scenario, it will likely support roughly 60 to 70 percent of the truck’s total weight.

For example, if your truck weighs approximately 7000 pounds, you’re still looking at around 5000 pounds that you need to lift – something that even a 2.5-ton floor jack can theoretically lift, let alone a three-ton one. So, numbers-wise, you should be fine.

5. Where is the best place to jack up a truck?

Learning to jack up and support your car correctly can make all the difference in the actual repair, as well as your safety. It’s important to remember that various vehicles have different support points; you should always start by referring to the owner’s manual to find a secure jack point in the specific area of your car that you want to lift.

The best point to jack up a truck would be an area that’s specifically designed for it, or a position that you know can support the vehicle’s full weight safely, without slipping off the floor jack.

Conclusion when you want to buy a floor jack for lifted truck

The best floor jack for lifted trucks will be the one with a high enough weight capacity to withstand your truck’s weight and can lift it high enough to accommodate the extra height of a lifted truck. Even more so, you’ll benefit from it being reliable, with a broad, stable base and safety features to protect you from potential accidents or even injury.

My opinion is that the Powerbuilt 620422E Heavy-Duty 4000 lb Triple Lift Jack offers a quality of construction, reliability, and safety – but any other model featured in my round-up is worth considering, too.

The Best Scissor Jacks in 2020 – Your Long Term Friend On the Road

Each driver knows that there are seemingly countless tools that can prove useful to own.

Of course, some are essential, and some are not.

But one of them stands out as a device that makes your whole driving experience much safer and trouble-free.

Yes, I’m talking about the scissor jack - a device that can help you with a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, but also allows you to perform regular repairs and carry out proper maintenance.

I’ve scoured the market to find the best scissor jack for your needs, and here are the ten best scissor jacks, based on my research and tests.

TOP 10 Best Scissor Jacks Reviews in 2020

1. Torin Big Red Steel Scissor Jack, 1.5 Ton (3,000 lb) Capacity

[caption id="attachment_695" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 1 Torin Big Red Steel Scissor Jack, 1.5 Ton (3,000 lb) Capacity[/caption]

The first scissor jack that made it to my top list is brought to you by Torin, a company that has been producing top-notch vehicle maintenance products since 1968.

In this price range and category, Torin Steel scissor jack is the best-selling product, and I can really see why.

Being engineered using a drop forged alloy steel, it offers sturdy support with an extra wide-base, at forces you’d expect from larger scissor jacks.

However compact it may be, this steel scissor jack proved to be extremely durable, and I was pretty satisfied with how that did not come at the expense of its size.

I was also satisfied with the lifting rage it offers, namely, from 4-⅛’’ to 15-⅛’’, and with its capacity (3000lbs).

It is very straightforward to control this lift jack, thanks to the 1-piece handle that delivers a prompt response and satisfactory speed of lifting.

About that extra-wide base that I mentioned - it offers easy positioning of the scissor jack, and really adds to the overall feeling of safety and reliability you get when using this scissor jack.

I always make sure to check whether the construction of an item I’m testing out was carefully performed, and I was pleased to learn that this steel scissor lift jack meets ANSI and PASE safety standards.

Finally, I have to give it some bonus points for the attractive red color and design - it really looks great in your trunk!

The only problem could be the fact that 3000 lbs capacity is simply not enough for some users.

Pros:

  • High-quality materials
  • Compact
  • Lightweight
  • Features an extra-base
  • Comes fully assembled
  • Meets international safety standards

Cons:

  • 3000lbs might not be enough for you

In spite of the smaller capacity than with some other models, this low profile scissor jack is the best jack to carry in the truck, and great for any DIY projects.

2. Eaz-Lift 30" RV Stabilizing Scissor Jack

[caption id="attachment_696" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 2 Eaz-Lift 30" RV Stabilizing Scissor Jack[/caption]

Moving on to a more serious scissor jack, I will tell you now what I’ve learned about the Eaz Lift scissor jack, and why it made it to my list.

The first thing I noticed is its quality built. It was made out of heavy-duty anti-corrosion steel, and it can support up to 5000lbs, which is pretty impressive. Not only that - the whole construction is powder-coated for maximum longevity and easy maintenance and cleaning.

Its capacity means that this scissor jack can withstand and lift any large pickup truck, RV, camper, etc.

The model that I tried out reaches heights of 30'', but there is also a 20’’ and 24’’ variant, and you can buy a set of two (which I did). Bonus points for versatility!

The former can be adjusted from 4’’ to 30’’, and I suppose that the minimum is the same for the other models, as well. The pack that I got features two scissor jacks and one jack socket for a power drill.

That socket is very convenient because it allows for a lift using a power drill instead of your manual force. Therefore, when you feel tired and want your drill to do the job instead of you, just use this adapter, and you’re good to go!

Lastly, it is a fact that cannot be denied: this scissor jack is not very budget-friendly.

Pros:

  • Elegant powder coat finish
  • Supports large vehicles
  • Sold in many varieties
  • Easily adjustable
  • Comes with a drill adapter

Cons:

  • A bit pricey

Yes, you’ll be paying a steep price with the Eaz-Lift scissor jack. But is it worth it? Absolutely yes! And when you take into account that it is a pack of two, the price is not that high.

3. LIBRA Set of 2 Bigfoot 5000 lb 24" RV Trailer Stabilizer Leveling Scissor Jacks

[caption id="attachment_697" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 3 LIBRA Set of 2 Bigfoot 5000 lb 24" RV Trailer Stabilizer Leveling Scissor Jacks[/caption]

We’ve come to a set of Libra scissor jacks that I was delighted with.

I wanted to include these scissor jacks because they differ from most of my other picks, and can prove to be useful in many situations.

Unlike most of the other scissor jacks, these are prefixed “stabilizer leveling” (scissor jacks). This means that their primary purpose is leveling & stabilization of RVs.

Every RV/trailer owner knows how important it is to stabilize and level your vehicle properly. Improper positioning can result in severe consequences, damages, injuries, or worse.

So, these scissor jacks are indeed your guardian angels if you own an RV!

Of course, I had to investigate whether they meet all the high expectations.

They can hold 5000lbs per jack, which is more than enough, and the extended height is 24’’. Both of these properties fit into the idea of a good stabilizer jack. Also, when fully retracted, they measure only around 5 inches, which is very convenient for storage.

What I believe is a guarantee of stability is the fact that the base is a bow-tie type that improves its posture and enables sturdy support for your vehicle.

I recommend that you use both scissor jacks from the set side by side for the maximum safety and utility.

One potential downside that I want to mention is lack of versatility: these scissor jacks have their purpose, and if yours differs from it, you might want to search elsewhere.

Pros:

  • Pack of two at an affordable price
  • Fully retractable
  • Sturdy and solid base
  • A crank handle is included in the set

Cons:

  • Only for stabilization & leveling

Overall, these scissor jacks are a great tandem for leveling and stabilizing your RVs and trailers. They won’t let you down!

4. MarchInn Electric Car Scissor Jack

[caption id="attachment_698" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 4 MarchInn Electric Car Scissor Jack[/caption]

Spoiler alert: The next one is a serious, professional-range scissor jack.

MarchInn brings one of a few battery-operated scissor jacks on my list.

I couldn’t resist its power even on paper - 3-ton support (6600lbs) capacity sounds astounding. And when I tested it out, I got even more excited!

It is not only powerful but also very efficient. It took only around 2 minutes to lift my truck, and within minutes, I had a fresh new tire on.

When you hear about all this power, you probably expect this scissor jack to be extremely heavy and robust. I’m happy to say that it’s not the case; quite the contrary!

The scissor jack dimensions (19.9 x 6.1 x 4.1 inches) and weight (around 11 pounds) make it portable and compact. What is more - it comes in a perfect storage box that will not take up much space in your trunk.

But seriously, I couldn’t believe how fast and easy this scissor jack was to use. You control it via a wireless remote, and it can do wonders in just a couple of minutes.

I also liked how manufacturers implemented safety features. Besides the sturdy and reliable steel construction, the scissor jack automatically stops working (even if you continue pressing the “up” button - I couldn't help but test it) once it reaches the maximum height (42 cm).

The only objection that I want to make is about the warranty: 1 year seems somewhat short.

Pros:

  • Saves up your time & energy
  • Comes in a convenient box
  • Powerful hydraulic cylinder
  • Great value for the price

Cons:

  • A 1-year warranty is a bit short

I warmly applaud MarchIn for making such a durable and efficient scissor jack. I do wish that the warranty was a bit longer, though I did not have any problems with it!

5. ROGTZ Electric Car Floor Jack

[caption id="attachment_699" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 5 ROGTZ Electric Car Floor Jack[/caption]

Another battery-powered, i.e., electric scissor jack comes from Rogtz, a well-known name when it comes to scissor jacks.

I liked how manufacturers went out of their way to ensure safe and trouble-free operation. The large heavy-duty base, a thickening steel plate, and an aerodynamic triangular design add to this overall safety feel.

Moreover, just like my previous choice, it automatically stops lifting when it reaches the height limitation. Once again, I had to try this out - the jack stops the second it reaches 42 cm.

I would crown this scissor jack as the best choice for large Sedan and SUVs (under 4 tons, though, as maximum capacity is 3T).

What also amazed me is the fact that this is a complete package: the jack, along with 12V two-way power supply is conveniently stored into the box.

Apart from this central piece, you get a built-in flashlight in case of an emergency during the night. Naturally, I tried out this option, too, and I’m happy to tell you that the light itself is enough for all night-mode repairs.

I find that this flashlight also adds to your safety on the road, as it will warn other drivers about you. Of course, I advise you to always wear a light reflective vest during the night.

The only thing I disliked is the wrench that you get. I had to spin it a couple of times when I put it on the socket before it actually did something. If you can, always bring one of the wrenches you already own.

Pros:

  • Extremely safe
  • Powerful
  • Feature-rich
  • Good for Humvee
  • Lifts your vehicle in 1-2 minutes

Cons:

  • The wrench is not that good

All in all, with the Rogtz electric car scissor jack, you get what you’re paying for - a powerful and practical jack for all situations.

6. Husky 76862 Stabilizing Scissor Jack

[caption id="attachment_700" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 6 Husky 76862 Stabilizing Scissor Jack[/caption]

Let me introduce you to another set of scissor jacks: Husky 76862.

The primary reason because of which I decided to include these on my list is their enormous lifting capacity - they can lift 6500 pounds each, and they can rise to a total height of 24 inches.

Such capabilities mean that this set of scissor jacks is compatible with a wide variety of vehicles - cars, SUVs, trucks, and even racing cars.

Also, the sturdy steel construction with the black powder-coated finish is my preferred choice (in contrast to, e.g., an aluminum scissor jack).

It comes with one attaching crank handle that provides excellent support for the manual lift of the jack. Reckon, though, that this is not an automatic jack, and considering the weight that it supports, you might lift some heavy vehicles - so take your time and do not rush! Safety is essential.

Finally, I must admit that a 35-inch square base plate is a bit unconventional. I measured it for you so that you can see whether it fits the holes in your frame. The base itself is 3’’ x 7 ½’’, and the top part that attaches is a metal bracket that is to be bolted or welded to the frame of your vehicle.

Pros:

  • Useful (visual) instructions
  • Stainless steel construction
  • High-quality swivel handle
  • Excellent for leveling and stabilizing your vehicle
  • Can be used without a permanent mounting

Cons:

  • A bit unconventional base of the scissor jack

Other than the possibility that the base might be incompatible to some vehicles, the mounting process was straightforward, and you get most of the necessary tools in the package. This set of scissor jacks deserves a high grade.

7. Pro-LifT T-9456 Grey Scissor Jack

[caption id="attachment_701" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 7 Pro-LifT T-9456 Grey Scissor Jack[/caption]

Back to one of the scissor jacks that can lift up to 3000lbs, the Pro-Lift T-9456 is indeed a valuable purchase for this range of jacks.

If I were to describe this scissor jack with one word, I’d say “compact”. A 48-inch scissor jack set can be quite robust and difficult to store, but this one, with the dimensions as follows: 17.2 x 3.9 x 4.7 inches, can be stored anywhere you want.

Not only that - it weighs only 9lbs, so you can carry it around quite easily.

But what I always render the most important concerning scissor jacks is the amount of safety that it brings about. With that regard, Pro-Lift once again showed to be a worthy purchase. It has a built-in extra-wide base that provides additional stability when you use this scissor jack.

All of these favorable characteristics mean that the T-9456 meets (if not even exceeds) the latest ANSI/PALD standards.

Another unique thing about this scissor jack is that it comes with two crank handles that fit through the hole in the screw end, meaning you can slide either in the hole and manually turn it to lift your vehicle. As for the lifting height it can achieve, it is anywhere between 3-¾’’ to 15-⅛’’ - quite satisfactory.

The only thing I didn’t like is the warranty: you are backed only with the 90-day warranty, which simply needs to be longer.

Pros:

  • Extra-safe measures
  • High-quality materials
  • Compact & easy to store
  • Has two handles
  • Reliable

Cons:

  • 3000lbs capacity might not be enough for all users
  • Relatively short warranty

I’m not saying that this scissor jack isn’t reliable and that you will experience some trouble after three months, but I still think that a longer warranty could have been included. Except for that, do not hesitate to buy this excellent scissor jack!

8. BestEquip Electric Car Jack 3 Ton 6600 LB Electric Scissor Jack

[caption id="attachment_702" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 8 BestEquip Electric Car Jack 3 Ton 6600 LB Electric Scissor Jack[/caption]

As you know, electric scissor jacks are much more powerful than any other type (e.g., air-bag scissor jacks or alike).

The BestEquip electric car jack is no exception - it can bear vehicles up to 3T (6600lbs), which encompasses all sedans, off-road cars, vans, trucks, etc.

This kind of jacks is also the best one if you’re looking for the perfect tool for your repair shop or a garage.

It is powered directly from your vehicle (with the cigarette lighter power, or your car battery), and the whole system is extremely reliable and safe. And it is always handy when you don't have to use your manual force for the tedious mounting and dismounting of a scissor jack.

I also appreciated how everything is included in this set. You get a plastic storage case, an electric wrench that can disassemble or fasten nuts, a safety hammer, two sockets, and a wireless remote. That's what I call "a full package”!

If you’re interested in the lifting height, BestEquip scissor jack does anywhere from 4.7 to 17.7 inches. This was enough for me, and I’m sure it will be enough for you!

A potential downside is the unique shape of this scissor jack. Simply put, you either like it, or you don’t. It might take some time to adjust to it, but believe me - it’s worth the shot!

Pros:

  • High-quality accessories
  • Large capacity
  • Weighs only 23lbs
  • Long power cord (3m)

Cons:

  • The inconvenient shape might take some time to adjust to

Buy this electric scissor jack by BestEquip if you want a strong and durable scissor jack that comes with everything you could possibly wish for at an affordable price.

9. Hanperal Car Steel Tire Wheel Lug Wrench Scissor Jack

[caption id="attachment_703" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 9 Hanperal Car Steel Tire Wheel Lug Wrench Scissor Jack[/caption]

Who said that you have to pay a steep price to buy a high-quality scissor jack lifter?

The Hanperal car steel tire-wheel scissor jack specializes for tire changing and is perfect for travel use and emergencies.

It doesn’t come with bells and whistles, but I appreciate that it is not advertised like it does, either. Instead, you get what you expect - a reliable tool that can handle all the minor repairs and projects.

The handle is plastic, but I was satisfied with the fact that the whole body is made of stainless steel, which makes this scissor jack rust-resistant and durable.

The handle fits the most of the scissor jacks, considering that it is a one-hole type, and if you’re interested in the size, the diameter is around 0.3 inch.

It is a piece of cake to set it up, as it consists of two parts that can be folded for storage.

As you can probably tell, this one is pretty simple, but yet, I appreciate the fact that the design is unique, as there is chromed zinc plating so that the metallic body goes perfectly well with the yellow handle.

Pros:

  • Universal
  • Simple but effective
  • Budget-friendly
  • Sleek
  • An excellent choice for a quick tire change

Cons:

  • Plastic handle

I’m not going to expound too much on this one, as it is really universal and without any model-specific characteristics. I’m of the view that everyone should own at least one simple car scissor jack lifter like this one in their trunk.

10. TONDA 2 Ton Portable Car Scissor Jack

[caption id="attachment_704" align="aligncenter" width="500"]Best Scissor Jacks 10 TONDA 2 Ton Portable Car Scissor Jack[/caption]

I wanted to top it off with Tonda 2-ton car scissor jack that earned its place among the ten best products because of its simplicity and wide range of use.

As you can probably deduce from the part of its name, it can handle vehicles up to 2T (around 4000 lbs), which is ideal for a coupe, sedan, farm, etc. I also recommend this scissor jack for your repair shop if you’re not too fond of electric scissor jacks.

The all-welded steel frame construction guarantees the longevity of this scissor jack, while the matte finish earns it a high grade in the physical department.

In my opinion, this scissor jack is a valuable purchase because high-grade materials are complemented with a nice ergonomic swivel handle that does not require a lot of manual force, and it offers a high lifting capacity.

At first, I thought it was not going to be stable as some other scissor jacks that have a larger base, but I must say it is.

However, I believe that the manufacturers could have included a little extra, because, who doesn’t like free accessories? At least a storage case or something like that.

Pros:

  • Lightweight
  • Sleek design
  • Heavy-duty materials
  • Compatible with a wide range of vehicles
  • Does not require a lot of manual force

Cons:

  • At this price, I wish it came with at least one to two free accessories

Overall, my final pick is great for repair shops and occasional road emergencies such as a flat tire or a broken belt, with its compact design and reliability.

FAQs of customer when looking for a best scissor jack

1. Are scissor jacks safe?

Scissor jacks are safe, but only under the following circumstances:

  • When used properly. By this, I mean that you have to position the scissor jack accordingly to your vehicle model. Each model has specified lift positions, and you need to get familiar with them.
  • When you block the wheels of your vehicle. In order for your scissor jack to be safe, you need to make sure that your wheels are locked in place. You can do so by positioning wheel blocks opposite to the side of the vehicle that you’re jacking up. If you do not own wheel blocks, make sure that your car is level and that the wheels cannot roll in any way.
    • When you stick to the prescribed height and weight of your scissor jack lift. This is pretty much self-explanatory; don’t push those limits.

However, don’t get me wrong. I’m saying that scissor jacks are safe and excellent tools for lifting your vehicle and performing repairs, such as changing a flat tire.

But under no circumstances do I recommend getting your whole body underneath your vehicle when you lift it - no matter how good a scissor jack is. This should only be done by professionals.

2. What is a scissor jack?

Formally, a scissor jack is a powerful tool that lifts your car by a screw or by hydraulics, thus allowing you the high lifting of your vehicle. This means you can change a flat tire, or perform any action on your vehicle that requires the lifting mechanism.

Informally, a scissor jack is a Hulk packed in a compact and lightweight structure. It is incredible how much force the right scissor jack can exert.

3. How much does a scissor jack cost?

A good scissor jack might not be as expensive as you may expect, even though they are made from premium and sturdy materials.

Depending on the type of a scissor jack, it can cost anywhere from $15 (yeah, that cheap!) to $200. You can find various types on my list.

4. How much weight can a scissor jack lift?

Again, this varies with different models of scissor jacks.

Generally, the most important thing to bear in mind is to coordinate the maximum weight the scissor jack can lift with the weight of your vehicle.

The lowest weight that a scissor jack from my list can lift is around 3000lbs, whereas some more advanced can do even up to over 6000lbs.

Conclusion when you want to buy a best scissor jack

Congratulations! Now you’re ready to purchase your companion for the next trip that will keep you safe and prepared for all unpredicted events.

After all is said and done, I owe you the proclamation of the best scissor jack in 2020.

The Eaz-Lift scissor jack takes the throne this time. I chose this scissor jack as the best overall because it delivers excellent functionality that will satisfy even the most advantageous needs and repairs.

It can be positioned unobtrusively under your car and provides excellent support, leveling, and stabilizing.

For those of you on a budget, my recommendation is the Torin Big Red Steel scissor jack - another powerful and perfectly utilized scissor jack.

Top Rated 6 Best Bed Cover for F250 2020 Reviews

Did you know that having a bed cover on your pickup truck can improve gas mileage by up to 10%? A Ford F250 burns one gallon of fuel per 15 miles, so a cover can improve that to 16.5 miles. Just think about how much money you can save in the long run!

[caption id="attachment_684" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Top Rated 6 Best Bed Cover for F250 Reviews Top Rated 6 Best Bed Cover for F250 Reviews[/caption]

I know you’re interested, and I want to make sure that you get the best bed cover for F250 on the current market.

I’ve hunted down, reviewed, and composed a list of the leading products in the field, and you can read all about them below.

Let’s get you that bed cover!

The 6 Best Bed Covers in 2020

1. Auto Dynasty Tri-Fold Adjustable Tonneau Cover for Ford F250/F350

[caption id="attachment_678" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Top Rated 6 Best Bed Cover for F250 2020 Reviews Auto Dynasty Tri-Fold Adjustable Tonneau Cover for Ford F250/F350[/caption]

Auto Dynasty's cover is a great solution for any F250 owner looking for a soft tri-fold F250 tonneau cover. This product will be of particular interest to folks who dislike roll covers, and who're interested in easy installation and weather-proofing the truck's bed.

Like many other tonneaus, this one too is made from vinyl. This material has proven to be effective and affordable, so it's a good idea to go with it. The bed cover has an aluminum frame, which gives it the ability to withstand strong winds on the open road and protect the valuables in your truck.

Another great thing about this model is the adjustable tension, which allows you to set a perfect fit and avoid unnecessary sagging. Also, the installation is dead simple, as all you need to do is set the frame, clamp it up, and you're good to go.

Now, if you've got a rail system on your truck's bed (similar to a roof rack), then you'll want to skip this review, as the cover won't be able to fit. However, if you're driving an F250 or F350 with no customization, then you probably won't have to worry about this.

When the time comes to remove or open the cover, you can only do it from the back. You can open it partially or completely depending on what you need, and to do this, just remove the safety straps and fold away.

If you wish to completely weather-proof the bed, add some stripping around the bulkhead area.

Pros:

  • Very easy to install
  • Sturdy and protects the bed well
  • Adjustable tension to eliminate sagging

Cons:

  • It won’t fit trucks with a rail system
The Auto Dynasty Tri-Fold cover will protect your truck’s bed from extreme weather conditions, and it’s hassle-free to install!

2. Roll-N-Lock LG119M M-Series Manual Retractable Truck Bed Cover

[caption id="attachment_679" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Top Rated 6 Best Bed Cover for F250 Reviews 2020 1 Roll-N-Lock LG119M M-Series Manual Retractable Truck Bed Cover[/caption]

Roll and fold covers aren't your thing? How about trying a retractable one? If you're interested, then you have to read about Roll-N-Lock's M-series, a model that you shouldn't skip when looking for the best tonneau cover.

If I had to sum up this product in three words, it would be elegance, simplicity, and functionality. Since this is a retractable cover, it'll never get that wrinkly and spent look that fold, or roll covers develop over time.

M-Series features a sturdy torsion spring drive, and the retracted cover gets housed in an aluminum reel. Its durable construction enables it to operate smoothly and last for years. Contrary to what many people think, the housing doesn't take up much space in the truck bed, so there'll be plenty of room for all your stuff, including something big like a fifth wheel hitch.

When opening the cover, you can choose between multiple latching positions, including ¼, ½, and  ¾ open. This product also includes a lock with a key, so you can rest assured that nobody but you can open it.

The installation is not difficult per se, but if you've never done it before, you might be confused by the company's instructions. The manual is not so easy to understand, so you should resort to instruction videos instead.

Generally speaking, this retractable bed cover is simple to operate, provides excellent protection from the elements and potential thieves, but it's sold for a hefty amount.

Pros:

  • Smooth mechanism, simple to use
  • Multiple latching positions (¼, ½, and  ¾)
  • Well-constructed and durable

Cons:

  • The instruction manual isn’t very clear
  • Expensive
All in all, I’m sure that this cover will please anyone looking for a retractable model for their F250. No bundles, no folding or rolling, just smooth retraction!

3. North Mountain Soft Vinyl Roll-up Tonneau Cover

[caption id="attachment_680" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Top Rated 6 Best Bed Cover for F250 Reviews 2020 2 North Mountain Soft Vinyl Roll-up Tonneau Cover[/caption]

If you’ve been around the tonneau cover scene for some time, you’ve probably heard of North Mountain. This manufacturer is famous for its soft vinyl roll-up covers, and yes, you guessed it, I’m reviewing one of them today.

The charm of North Mountain’s bed covers is their simplicity and straightforward design. These are not “fancy,” state-of-the-art models, but affordable, well-made roll-ups. One other benefit of this tonneau is how easy it is to install. Everything is clamp-on, and you’ll get all the tools and instructions in the package.

North Mountain’s rails are made from aluminum, and they’ve got an epoxy coating to protect them from the cold. Now, the cold is where this cover doesn’t perform very well. The vinyl gets stiff and difficult to roll in low temperatures, and becomes more prone to tears.

The cover is good at keeping the rain out of the bed, as its marine-grade vinyl is entirely waterproof. Its dimensions are slightly bigger than the F250 bed, which gives it extra coverage and protection from the weather, but it also makes an annoying flapping noise when you drive.

All in all, this model is functional, but not very user-friendly.

What else can I say than - you can’t expect more for such a low price -  and I don’t necessarily mean this in a negative way. The cover will do its job fairly well, and if you run into problems, you have the 3-year warranty at your disposal.

Pros:

  • Very easy to set up and use
  • One of the most affordable quality roll covers
  • Offers great protection from the rain

Cons:

  • Not optimal for cold weather conditions
  • It flaps when you drive
Despite its setbacks, North Mountain’s bed cover still does a decent job in protecting your truck’s bed and the valuables inside it. This is a great budget option for an F250 owner!

4. Gator Covers GatorTrax Retractable Tonneau Cover

[caption id="attachment_681" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Top Rated 6 Best Bed Cover for F250 Reviews 2020 3 Gator Covers GatorTrax Retractable Tonneau Cover[/caption]

Besides Rock-N-Lock, GatorTrax is one of the most popular retractable truck bed covers in recent years. It is designed to fit Ford F250 and F350’s 6.9-foot beds and provides convenient and effective protection

What sets this model apart from the previous competitors is its material. It’s not made from vinyl, but black matte polycarbonate slats which give it a sleek look of a sturdy and elegant window shutter. Such a construction is exceptionally durable and will protect your belongings even from an impact.

GatorTrax features a ball bearing sliding system, something that’s not very common among tonneaus. Besides enabling the smooth sliding of the cover, this system won’t freeze or malfunction in cold weather. You can also open the cover as much as you want, and lock it in that position (if you wish).

This hard tonneau isn’t the best at keeping the water out, and some of it tends to leak through by the tailgate. However, you’ll like the draining system that directs any potential leakage out of the bed, so you won’t have to worry about getting your 5th wheel wet.

The installation isn’t too challenging, but I’ve definitely seen simpler ones. The cover weighs 70+ pounds, so it’s not so easy to maneuver it.

GatorTrax comes at a somewhat high price, but it’s far from being the most expensive on the market.

Pros:

  • Sturdy, protects the bed form impacts
  • Ball bearing system slides smoothly and doesn’t freeze
  • It looks great

Cons:

  • Water may leak at the tailgate
  • Not so easy to install
In case you need a cover that can take a punch, then GatorTrax might be what you’re looking for. It’s not the most affordable, but I think it’s worth the price.

5. Undercover Flex Hard Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover

[caption id="attachment_682" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Top Rated 6 Best Bed Cover for F250 Reviews 2020 4 Undercover Flex Hard Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover[/caption]

Undercover Flex is a foldable tonneau Ford F250 bed cover with features that will pleasantly surprise you. If you’re looking for something between a soft and a hard bed cover, then this might just be it.

Just like many other similar models, this cover can be folded three times across its length. However, what makes this one special is its ability to be raised up when fully folded, which gives you 100% access to the bed.

Each of the tonneau’s panels is made from a strong composite material called FPR, and it is lighter but stronger than the commonly used aluminum. This material decreases the overall weight of the product, making it easy to maneuver, and open the cover.

A problem that seems impossible to avoid with foldable models is the creasing of the material in places where the cover gets folded. Not only does this worsen the look of the product, but it also prevents it from laying flat on the rails once closed. As time passes, this problem increases, and eventually, it might let water leak into the bed.

Aside from the above-mentioned, Undercover doesn’t have any other significant issues. Its price is suitable for its quality, and even though some would argue that it is expensive, I beg to differ.

Pros:

  • Lightweight yet durable
  • Easy to install and to use
  • It gives you 100% access to the truck bed

Cons:

  • Creases form in places where the cover is folded
This is one of the best folding models I’ve come across so far, and it’s a good pick for anyone who needs full access to the truck bed.

6. RetraxPRO MX Retractable Truck Bed Tonneau Cover

[caption id="attachment_683" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Top Rated 6 Best Bed Cover for F250 Reviews 2020 5 RetraxPRO MX Retractable Truck Bed Tonneau Cover[/caption]

Last but not least, I’d like to introduce you to RetraxPro. This retractable F250 hard bed cover has created a lot of hype among truck owners, and for a good reason. Its excellent fit, sturdy build, and aesthetics give off a powerful first impression.

The first thing that I’d like you to know about this product is that it isn’t cheap — quite the contrary. Retrax bed cover is the priciest model on the list, and one of the more expensive on the market.

If I were to compare this cover to any others, it would be the Gator Trax. The two are very similar and share many of the same strengths, as well as weaknesses. So, if you really like this design, but you’d like something a bit cheaper, try Gator Trax.

The installation process is relatively simple. You’ll receive the cover in several boxes, then put it together, and then simply place it over the truck bed. The manufacturer offers excellent video instructions to help you get the job done.

The highlights of RetraxPRO are its aesthetics and the fact that it comes in both matte and glossy finishes. It’s also very resilient to physical damage and has a quality lock, which can be used no matter where you latched the cover.

Its downside is the poor protection from the weather, especially in heavy rain and storms. Another major issue is that the cover starts sagging after a considerable amount of use, and there’s nothing you can do to tighten it again.

Is it worth the price? I’ll leave that up to you to decide.

Pros:

  • Excellent aesthetics, available in glossy and matte
  • Strong, able to withstand physical damage
  • Pretty easy to install

Cons:

  • Very expensive
  • The cover starts to sag after a lot of use
The RetraxPRO cover can be viewed as a more expensive GatorTrax. If you like it and money isn’t a problem for you, I say go for it.

Conclusion

Ok, Ford-heads, you’ve seen the hottest F250 tonneaus on the market, and now it’s time for me to wrap this article up. I’d love to tell you which one is optimal for you, but that’s something that you have to figure out on your own.

In my humble opinion, the best bed cover for F250 is the Roll-N-Lock, no doubt about this. In case you’re shopping on a budget, then the Auto Dynasty Tri-Fold will probably be more suitable for you.
